About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Executive Vice-President, College or University at St. Francis Xavier University. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the academic and research agenda of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Leadership
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for academic programs and services
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure academic excellence and integrity
    • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Research and Innovation
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance research and innovation capacity
    • Foster partnerships with industry, government, and other stakeholders to advance research and innovation
    • Provide leadership and support for research and innovation initiatives
  • Operational Leadership
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for operational areas, including finance, human resources, and facilities
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure operational excellence and efficiency
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to promote a culture of excellence and accountability
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior academic or administrative role
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strategic leadership and vision
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
