Fraser Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Specialist to join our team in the provision of continuous care for patients with infectious diseases. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to specialize in infectious diseases and contribute to the development of innovative care solutions. You will be working under the supervision of experienced Infectious Diseases Attending physicians and have the opportunity to participate in professional development activities, including quality improvement projects and teaching opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • You will assess the day-to-day care of patients, writing medical orders, consulting with other services, and responding to changing patient conditions.
  • You will perform and document history and physical examinations, progress notes, consultation reports, and communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
  • You will participate in patient rounds, communicate with nursing staff and other care team members, and contribute to Quality Improvement projects.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and at least two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist.

You must also meet the English language proficiency requirements and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) in the Associate Physician class.
