Job Title: Healthcare and Professional Banking Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned healthcare and professional customers, including their business needs and financial positions.
  • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to healthcare and professional customers, helping them achieve their business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, influencers, and referral sources to drive business growth.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide service guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through relationship building and market research.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, events, and best practices to provide value-added services to customers.
  • Collaborate with Scotiabank partners to deliver comprehensive solutions to healthcare and professional customers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Manage credit portfolios and conduct credit reviews to ensure risk management and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business law, or economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven expertise in the healthcare and professional segment within a designated marketplace.
  • Expert knowledge of Small Business products and services, including ACE and GRM.
  • Thorough knowledge of risk management policies and processes, as well as legal and security documentation for small business products.
  • Experience with interviewing, solicitation, marketing, and business development techniques.
  • Working knowledge of retail products and services, including Wealth Management and Commercial Banking.
  • Knowledge of competitor offerings and alternate sources of financing.
  • Knowledge of economic conditions and political events affecting businesses, especially in the professional and healthcare segment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
