Join Our Team as a Dietary Aide

Are you passionate about providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting? Do you have a caring heart and a passion for serving others? We are seeking a qualified Dietary Aide to become part of our dynamic Food and Nutrition Department team at Southbridge Care Homes.

About the Role

As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling. You will assist cooks in basic food preparation, execute proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols, and serve meals according to Resident diet orders. You will also wash, clean, and maintain the kitchen and dining room.

Qualifications
  • Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act
  • Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others
  • Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
