At Southbridge Care Homes, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our dynamic Food and Nutrition Department team.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, prepared and served with love.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure food is handled in a safe and sanitary manner, including proper storage and labeling.
  • Assist cooks in basic food preparation and execute proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols.
  • Serve meals according to resident diet orders and maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.

Requirements

  • Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
  • Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate.
  • Have a caring heart and a passion for serving others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
