We're seeking a seasoned Claims Manager to lead our Auto Appraisal Unit in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for directing and coordinating activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives of repairs performed by vendors, in accordance with Intact policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on indemnity and expense control, as well as optimal customer experience.
  • Train and support employees on software and techniques used.
  • Perform quality control of estimates produced by in-house appraisers and body shops.
  • Manage team activities, organizing, planning, and controlling the optimal use of human, financial, and material resources.
  • Support trusted networks for complaints related to estimates.
  • Participate in committees related to estimation and stay aware of industry techniques.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of management, coaching, and mentoring experience, preferably in a claims environment.
  • Knowledge of the appraisal process and software.
  • Experience leading a team to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Project management and change management skills are an asset.
