Job Summary

The Zone Supervisor is a critical role within Paladin Security, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our mobile security team. This position requires a high level of organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the work activities of security staff, identifying and reporting any issues that may impact service delivery.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Respond to alarms, mobile patrols, and other issues that may arise.
  • Create and maintain a positive morale within the department, fostering a team environment and inclusive culture.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and management, ensuring that all expectations are met.
  • Set an example for staff through consistent professionalism and expertise.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained and prepared, utilizing the employee orientation package.
  • Patrol maintenance, including RFID placement and updating of patrols through the Tracktik website.
  • Ensure all departmental responsibilities are completed on a nightly basis, maintaining a record of alarm responses.
  • Run analysis and supervision to ensure all Specials are operating efficiently.
  • Provide operational support and guidance to Mobile Officers in the field.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance checks on officers to ensure Paladin standards are being met.
  • Zone Supervisor field duties, including patrols and alarm response.
  • Liaise with management to obtain direction and convey field information.
  • Training and mentoring of staff, including employee annual performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure fleet vehicles are maintained and exhibiting superior deportment.
  • General departmental administration, including nightly shift reports.
  • Conduct site visits and handle officer enquiries and requests.
  • Provide required transports and equipment drop-offs.
  • Ensure officers have completed relevant online training courses.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid security license.
  • Hold a full Class 5 driver's license and provide a clean driver's abstract for the last three years.
  • Be computer literate and able to easily assimilate knowledge of site systems.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be dependable and professional in all job functions.
  • Display objectivity and sound judgment.
  • Have previous security experience, with supervisory experience an asset.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma/GED.

Certification Requirements

Valid Class 5 License, Valid Security License.
