Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our stores and facilities comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver Compliance and Safety Awareness

Develop and implement compliance and safety awareness programs to educate associates and managers on compliance programs, including ethics and compliance resources.

Drive Compliance Improvement

Conduct assessments in our facilities across designated compliance subject matter areas, including:

  1. Health and Safety/Fire Code
  2. Environmental Compliance
  3. Consumer Protection
  4. Anti-Money Laundering
  5. Food Safety/Pest Control
  6. Privacy and Employment
  7. Licenses and Permits
  8. Anti-Corruption
Deliver On-the-Spot Compliance Training

Provide compliance training to all levels within our facilities, including delivering the compliance portion of new associate orientation.

Analyze Data and Identify Program Execution Gaps

Analyze data to identify program execution gaps and trends, and support the creation and execution of action plans to mitigate risk and drive compliance execution.

Participate in Regulatory Visits

Participate in regulatory visits, including online submission and engaging with appropriate partners for resolution of orders or fines.

Manage Associate Accident Files

Execute and manage the hourly associate accident file process, including online submission, accident investigations, modified offer letters, and follow-up until resolution.

Foster Communication with Store Management

Foster two-way communication with store management to ensure attendance management, progress note completion, and accountability occur as required.

Assist with Customer Claim Folders

Assist with collection and verification of required items/documents for customer claim folders.

Submit Facilities Maintenance Requests

Submit and follow up on facilities maintenance requests, including management of pest activity.
