Waste Management Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Side Load Driver to join our team at J.S Bellis Ltd, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies. As a key member of our environmental service team, you will be responsible for operating a Class 3, Side Loader Refuse vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive side Load tandem truck on assigned routes to fill contractual requirements
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of trucks assigned
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to receive delivery instructions and report any issues
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Protect and promote the interest of the company in all matters
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driver's license with clear driver abstract
  • Class 3 driver's license, with air brake in good standing
  • Ability to follow a firm work schedule and work in a team environment
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good coordination and ability to lift 20-75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Previous waste and recycling experience preferred
