Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan for Canadian Business Banking, focusing on credit risk management and control gaps.
- Lead a team of audit professionals to deliver high-quality audit results, adhering to audit standards and regulatory expectations.
- Identify and report on significant control matters, providing clear and comprehensive reporting to governance committees.
- Stay current on evolving regulatory expectations and industry practices, incorporating them into the audit plan and approach.
- Represent Internal Audit on management committees and key projects, articulating the relevance of root causes and issues across audit engagements.
- Attract, develop, and retain talent, maintaining an active pipeline for SMEs and providing ongoing support for IA divisional priorities.
- Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.
- Previous experience leading and delivering audit plans and strategies in a large, complex global organization (financial services experience beneficial).
- Extensive audit experience with non-financial and financial risks associated with business banking.
- Demonstrated relationship building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence positively.
- Excellent analytical skills in assessing risk, issues, and challenging the status quo.
- Strong presentation skills to facilitate working with senior management and representing the division.
