About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic Assistant to join our team at CLIMATISATION NOUVELLE ÈRE INC. The successful candidate will assist our refrigeration technicians in various tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of our refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist refrigeration technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems
  • Move tools, equipment, and materials as required
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
  • Measure and lay out reference points for installation
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
  • Start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating systems
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Manual dexterity, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, team player, accuracy, client focus, and judgement
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy environments, and in cold/refrigerated and hot conditions.
