Job Title: Refrigeration Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic Helper to join our team at Climatisation Nouvelle Ère Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Description:

Job Summary: As a Refrigeration Mechanic Helper, you will assist experienced refrigeration technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You will work on various tasks, including moving equipment, cleaning machines, and performing maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist refrigeration technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as required.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
  • Start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices.
  • Perform maintenance activities, such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating systems.

Requirements:

  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Manual dexterity, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, team player, accuracy, client focus, and judgment.

Working Conditions:

  • Work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy environments, in cold/refrigerated areas, and in hot environments.
