Job Title: Refrigeration Mechanic Helper

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic Helper to join our team at CLIMATISATION NOUVELLE ÈRE INC. The successful candidate will assist refrigeration technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. They will also be able to work in noisy, cold, and hot environments.

Responsibilities
  • Assist refrigeration technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems.
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas.
  • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
  • Measure and lay out reference points for installation.
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
  • Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating system.
Requirements
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Own vehicle.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Tools.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
