Senior Financial Planning Associate

At ScotiaMcLeod, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning Associate to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional client experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial planning support to our Wealth Advisors, preparing and delivering personalized financial plans to clients.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture, deepening client relationships and leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Proactively support the financial planning needs of advisors, including building financial plans, providing alternative scenarios, and identifying referral opportunities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing professional practice by participating in monthly Total Wealth Planning calls and providing updates on financial planning trends and strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
  • CFP Designation required.
  • In-depth understanding of the comprehensive financial planning process, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.
  • College or University degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Advanced understanding of financial planning software and ability to model complex strategies.
  • Experience in Total Wealth Planning engagement from client discovery to plan presentation delivery.
  • Canadian Securities Course and/or Life Insurance License is an asset.
