**About the Role**
As a Pre-Board Screening Officer with Paladin Airport Security Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers and airport staff. You will be responsible for screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints, providing information and assistance to travelers, and upholding all regulations and protocols.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Screen passengers and baggage through security checkpoints using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other technology
* Provide information and assistance to travelers, including confirming valid boarding passes and answering questions about airport procedures
* Scan and test baggage for prohibited items, using physical search techniques as needed
* Protect restricted areas and manage conflict situations
* Communicate clearly and effectively with travelers and airport staff
* Uphold all regulations and protocols, including those related to transportation security
**Requirements**
* Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment
* Open availability to work any shift, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
* Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in French is an asset
* Ability to comply with CATSA medical requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

* Paid training at $23.65/hour, increasing to $26.66/hour following successful completion of training and full certification
