Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oilfield Sales Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for growing our commercial client base in the Peace Region by marketing and selling Superior Propane's products and services to new and existing clients.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consultative selling, strong sales leadership skills, and a clear understanding of the oil and gas industry. You will work closely with our business partners to develop and execute a sales plan that leverages national and regional programs and resources to consistently meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to your business partners by growing the commercial business portfolio, consisting of Oilfield, Commercial, Agriculture, Forklift, and Construction Clients.
* Collaborate with your business partners to develop, recommend, and execute a sales plan that meets monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
* Prospect, research, and identify new business opportunities and work the sales plan to create awareness, discover client needs, and deliver product and service solutions.
* Initiate and lead the sales cycle/process as a subject matter expert and act as the client's key contact and resource, building strong business relationships with prospective clients and managing a sales funnel/cycle by continually following up on current business needs and anticipating future business needs.
* Prepare and confidently present sales proposals, including pricing and product/service terms, to key decision makers, influencing, negotiating, and closing the sale with the best interest of the company and the client in mind.
* Communicate regularly and prepare reports on key performance indicators and communicate sales progress within the sales funnel/cycle and achievements, intimately knowing the customer base and area activity, and utilizing information and data to capitalize on sales opportunities and recommend sales strategies.
* Provide initial account maintenance and customer service to ensure customer needs are met.
Requirements
* Five (5) to 10 years sales experience in the oil and gas industry
* Exceptional customer service skills and relationship management skills
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Business acumen, financial, and analytical skills
* Post-secondary education or professional certification or equivalent courses
* Strong leadership skills
* Superior organization and objective management skills
* Problem-solving skills
* Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Salesforce an asset)
* Knowledge of the propane industry
* Valid Driver's License
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
