About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at HMTG Professional Corporation. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, procedures, and treatments.
    • Prepare dental instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures.
  • Clinical Support
    • Assist dentists and hygienists with procedures, such as taking X-rays, preparing patients for treatment, and recording dental procedures.
    • Take and develop X-rays, as well as record dental procedures performed on patients.
  • Front Office Support
    • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, as well as maintain accurate records.
    • Perform reception and clerical duties, such as answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Instrument Maintenance
    • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Patient Education
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental health, and treatment options.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the dental team, such as fabricating and placing temporary crowns and restorations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
