Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surveyor / Field Engineer to join our team at XYZ Reality in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting daily site inspections using our cutting-edge Augmented Reality technology, the Atom, to ensure that construction works are installed correctly and in line with the BIM model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom to ensure works are installed correctly.
  • Establish and maintain our control network on site for the longevity of the project.
  • Produce reports based on the inspections from that day.
  • Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors to plan daily activities.
  • Process and review all acquired data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
  • Report to the Senior FAE / FAE Manager, maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
  • Work with the Contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme.
Requirements
  • Some form of qualification in civil engineering, land surveying, geospatial or geodetic engineering, construction management, construction engineering, BIM, or similar would be beneficial.
  • Ability to operate a Total Station is required.
  • Experience working on construction projects.
  • A strong work ethic, ambition and interest in new technology.
  • Any knowledge related to 3D software (Revit, Navisworks etc) or BIM / BIM360 is desirable.
  • Must be confident in using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • You must have existing right to work in Canada.
