About the Role

Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP FI Functional Consultant to join our team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our implementation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment and validation of SAP FI modules through comprehensive testing strategies, aligning them with business requirements.

Responsibilities
  • SAP FI Configuration and Support:
    • Configure and implement SAP FI modules, including GL (General Ledger), AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable), AA (Asset Accounting), and Banking.
    • Support financial processes such as month-end and year-end closures, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Testing Expertise:
    • Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and scripts for SAP FI modules, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and regression testing.
    • Perform data validation and ensure consistency between financial records and system outputs.
    • Identify, track, and resolve defects or discrepancies during the testing phase.
    • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the accuracy and quality of SAP FI configurations.
  • Business Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into SAP FI solutions.
    • Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users to ensure proper adoption of the system.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Liaise with other SAP modules (e.g., CO, MM, SD) to ensure smooth integration and testing across end-to-end processes.
    • Work with development teams to address technical issues identified during testing.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP FI configuration and implementation.
  • Proven expertise in testing methodologies and tools, including creating test cases, scenarios, and execution.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration with other modules (CO, MM, SD).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and compliance standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or SAP Solution Manager.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $110,000-$140,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Capgemini offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
