Job Title: Senior Financial Services Architect

Location: Remote work from Calgary, Alberta, reporting to office in Toronto, Ontario

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Services Architect to support the implementation of SAP specialized software solutions for accounting in the financial industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing accounting requirements, defining solution architecture, and designing functional specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Analysis: Analyze accounting requirements, especially IFRS and US-GAAP, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  2. Solution Architecture: Define application, data, technology, process, and governance architecture for SAP FPSL and SAP FS-CD.
  3. Functional Design: Design functional specifications for FPSL, including test strategy, go-live, and transition plans.
  4. Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive documentation and provide training to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge of SAP FPSL and SAP FS-CD configuration.
  • Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows, M365, Azure Cloud, ITIL, SAP Software Development, and SAP Bank Analyzer.
  • Strong understanding of data technology and structures in the financial services industry.
  • Ability to work as a functional and technical consultant, translating complex implementation deliverables into plain language communications.
  • Solid knowledge of governance (including ISO27001 and SOC II certifications), audits, controlling, and accounting.
  • Experience in sales, key account management, customer training, and workshops.
  • Leadership experience managing 10+ employees.
  • Project Management, Test Management, Software Development, Leadership Skills, and Communication Skills.
  • Willngness to travel regularly, cross-border, for extended periods, and overnight; travel expenses paid by employer.

Wage & Hours:

CAD $67.00-$77.00 per hour (annual income CAD $140,000-$160,000 + CAD $30,000-$40,000 possible Bonus which is not included in hourly rate)
