Key Responsibilities:- Manage Health Sector Goals: Work closely with global sector and local office leadership to ensure that the health sector is meeting business objectives from a local, regional, and national perspective.
- Grow Local Health Sector Team: In concert with operational leadership, grow a well-balanced, multi-disciplinary team, assess capabilities of staffing resources, and develop expertise.
- Build Client Relationships: Develop strong client relationships and serve as a key client relationship manager on projects.
- Demonstrate Local Leadership: Participate as a health thought leader in professional organizations, activities, and services throughout Western Canada.
- Represent and Advance the Firm: Increase awareness and understanding within the community of the firm's health practice on a local, regional, and national basis.
- Business Development and Marketing: Execute pre-marketing and positioning strategies necessary for success, organize and support efforts of sector, regional, and local leaders, and coordinate with global health and operational leadership.
- Proposal Writing: Lead and oversee the analysis of requests for proposals and lead the development of written proposal responses.
- Interviews and Presentations: Lead the development of interview presentation strategies, messaging, and team preparations for winning presentations and interviews.
- Global Teamwork: Work and collaborate with HDR leaders, marketing staff, and design professionals across the firm and particularly within the region to develop relationships and win work.
- Project Delivery Responsibilities: Serve as a Principal in Charge (PIC) in a leadership role for key healthcare clients, responsible for establishing strong client relationships, overall project performance, and maintaining client satisfaction.
- Registered Architect with the AIBC (or eligible for registration via reciprocity agreements between associations).
- 15 years of professional experience in A/E/C industry, with at least two years of management experience.
- Advanced credentials desired (LEED, EDAC, WELL AP, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience within the local and regional health market.
- Forward-thinking with big-picture mentality.
- Experience successfully developing and executing targeted market and client strategies.
- Capable of leading a health team and making client presentations.
- Business development experience in health design industry.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willing to travel (domestic and international).
- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- Maintain professional registration.
- Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
- Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
- Experienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path, and professional growth.
- Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector.
- Ability to work cooperatively with Area Market Sector Directors, Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Director, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers, and Area Managers.
- Demonstrated commitment to HDR values.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits. The pay range for Vancouver, BC is: $160,000 - $230,000
