Job Title: Linux Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our team at Simnet Inc.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers, including Ubuntu and Red Hat.
  • Provide technical support for Linux servers, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions, including file and directory permissions.
  • Implement security measures, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, to protect Linux servers from cyber threats.
  • Ensure Linux servers are up-to-date and secure by regularly installing security patches and updates.
  • Automate routine tasks using Bash scripting and other automation tools.
  • Perform backups and recovery and ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Linux administration, specifically with Ubuntu and Red Hat.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and KVM.
  • Experience with containerization, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with backup software, such as Veeam or Acronis.
  • Experience with automation tools, such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with configuration management, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Experience with orchestration, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
Qualifications:
  • Years of experience in Linux administration, specifically with Ubuntu and Red Hat.
