As a member of our Research and Development team, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the quality of machine vision read rates and software configurations across our network of sites in Canada and the US.
About the Role:
As a subject matter expert on our proprietary technologies, software, and hardware applications, you'll partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and develop solutions to technical issues. You'll design, program, and implement imaging systems, hardware, and software applications for various applications, and collaborate with engineers, software developers, and customers to understand the requirements and specifications of the various imaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement imaging systems, hardware, and software applications for various applications.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and methods for improving machine vision image quality, performance, and functionality.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and develop solutions to technical issues.
- Partner with engineers, software developers, and customers to understand the requirements and specifications of the various imaging solutions.
- Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of our imaging systems and software.
- Resolve escalated issues as a subject matter expert and support ticket resolution for our customers.
- Maintain read rates and configuration performance across our site network.
- Document designs, architecture, and system integrations as required.
- Present solutions and results to both internal and external key stakeholders.
- Explore, evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency and effectiveness on new and existing product ideas.
Requirements:
- University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with image processing and/or optics, with strong knowledge and experience in lighting and imaging principles, machine vision techniques, and algorithms.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to recognize and prioritize projects and urgent tasks.
