**About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled UAT Tester to join our team on an ongoing contract basis. Located in Mississauga, Hybrid (On-site and Remote), this position involves working closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and the development team to ensure that applications meet end-user requirements.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of user acceptance testing processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and user expectations.
  • Develop, review, and execute UAT test cases, test scripts, and scenarios.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing to validate functionality, usability, and data accuracy.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions with business users, ensuring their feedback is documented and addressed.
  • Report and escalate critical issues or roadblocks to the project team and management.
  • Validate defect resolutions and perform retesting as needed.
  • Ensure all UAT deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Work closely with QA, development teams, and business units to ensure smooth UAT processes.
  • Provide detailed test execution reports and participate in regular project meetings.

**Required Qualifications**

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in user acceptance testing or related roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into test scenarios.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tools: Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL (basic queries), and defect-tracking tools.

**Estimated Salary:** $90,000 - $110,000 per year based on the location and industry standards.
