Duties & Responsibilities

  • Seek out opportunities for growth and development with new and existing customers.
  • Maximize the tools provided by Gordon Food Service to exceed customer expectations of service, quality, and partnership.
  • Act as a business partner to customer accounts, focusing on helping customers increase their business and providing menu solutions as needed.
  • Promote new products and marketplace trends to new and existing customers.
  • Review territory reports to evaluate progress and sales volume, tracking budgets and business plans, and identifying product line targets for accounts.
  • Liaise with your District Sales Manager to ensure consistency of customer contracts and opportunities to increase business through selling to the contract.
  • Liaise with the Customer Support Center, Marketing, Warehouse, Transportation, and Credit Department as required to ensure customer satisfaction with all products and services.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in food services sales and management.
  • Experience with sales and proven skills in negotiation.
  • The ability to take initiative and drive results.
  • The ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a self-driven approach.
  • Collaborative and dynamic skills to work in pressured environments.
  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing is an asset.
