Leading Mechanical Systems Designer

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership position and make a significant impact on the design and construction of buildings within AECOM's Buildings + Places business line.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and construction of buildings. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior-level Mechanical Engineer with buildings experience to grow into a leadership position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical input to studies and design for staff, developing study and design procedures, and participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities. Professional Engineering licensure is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical input to studies and design for staff
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality work
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- Develop estimates of technical efforts for projects
- Prepare technical specification sections
- Assist in mentoring junior and intermediate engineering staff
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A university degree in Mechanical Engineering
- No less than 6 years of experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities
- Professional Engineering licensure
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
