Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Academic Research Project Proposal Writer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for writing high-quality research project proposals, including problem formulation and work plans. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in graduate report writing, information management, literature search techniques, and reference management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and write comprehensive research project proposals, including problem formulation and work plans.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and researchers to identify research opportunities and develop project proposals.
  • Conduct literature searches and provide summaries of relevant research findings.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of research projects, including proposals, progress reports, and final reports.
  • Provide guidance and support to graduate students on research proposal writing and academic integrity.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of the course subject matter, demonstrated by relevant research publications or extensive experience over at least two years.
  • Applicants must be presently completing their PhD in a field related to the course subject matter or have worked professionally in the field after completing a relevant doctorate.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time professor position, with a regular schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work on campus, with occasional off-campus meetings and events.
