Job Title: Front End Service Clerk

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Calgary Co-op, a leading retail co-operative in North America. As a Front End Service Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relations through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Handle merchandise with care, minimizing damages and markdowns, and perform general clean-up duties to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, set up storefronts, fill supplies, and prepare for deliveries.
  • Provide wrapping and carry-out service to meet customer satisfaction and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Other duties include hanging signs, obtaining change for cashiers, and replacing existing stock after cleaning.
Requirements:
  • Grade 9 or equivalent education and experience.
  • Fluency in English (CLBA - Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).
  • Previous retail or related experience is an asset.
