Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Assistant to join our team at Fernie. As a Home Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare in a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized home environment.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development to promote their overall well-being.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home by supervising and caring for children, and organizing activities such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to ensure children receive a balanced diet.
  • Supervise and care for children, and tend to their emotional well-being to provide a nurturing environment.
  • Work a permanent schedule with 37.5 hours per week, and communicate effectively with the employer to ensure a smooth working relationship.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare, or equivalent experience.
