Auto Body Technician Job Description

CSN Collision is seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. As a key member of our repair team, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review damage reports and estimates to plan work to be performed
  • Examine collision damage thoroughly, identifying any prior damages overlooked
  • Perform structural and complete body repairs, including repairing or replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components
  • Use frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames
  • Weld vehicles using MIG welders and compression spot welders
  • Dismantle damaged areas to identify hidden damages
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • Restore vehicles to factory specification
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive them for proper handling
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in auto body repair and refinishing
  • Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer (310B) Red Seal License (310Q) or in a registered apprenticeship program
  • Technicians with I-Car and OEM certifications are favorable
Working Conditions:
  • Carrying, lifting - 100 lbs
  • Standing, sitting, walking, reaching
  • Valid driver's license required
