About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. As a key member of our AIS, P&IC Secondary Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting project engineers and project lead engineers to develop project-specific engineering documents and drawings for submission to customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare electrical schematic diagrams in CAD tools like E3, AutoCAD, or similar tools, ensuring accurate representation of high voltage Breakers, Capacitor Banks, Disconnectors, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and other HVC Related Products.
  • Generate Bills of Materials (BoM) for modules and products, creating part numbers using SAP, and reviewing schematic diagrams and 2D and 3D drawings before submission to customers.
  • Prepare guaranteed technical parameters for various high voltage products and address technical queries raised by customers during project execution.
  • Support cross-functional teams like SCM, project management, and quality to understand customer requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with onsite installation and commissioning colleagues to understand customer drawings and provide technical support.
  • Maintain and update documentation for respective projects as per quality processes.

Your Background:

  • Technical interest and enthusiasm to come up with ideas and solutions, with a long-term perspective.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with a bachelor's or diploma degree.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like E3, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Experience with United States/North American design standards/IEEE is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
