About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Baycrest. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team to meet their personal, activation, recreation, and spiritual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating medications and treatments within your scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses to revise and update care plans as needed.
  • Provide client-centred care, prioritizing their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and decision-making.
  • Document client progress and care provided, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, Level C - Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Geriatric experience, including mental health assessment and intervention, and working with responsive behaviours.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Meditech, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
