Lantic Inc., a leading manufacturer of natural sweetener solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join their team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of the production team, this individual will be responsible for optimizing daily operations and implementing process improvements to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase sugar recovery.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity requires a Bachelor's degree/graduate diploma in mechanical engineering, with experience in factory manufacturing and expertise in manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of continuous improvement concepts, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, and proficiency in Autocad or other design software.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous improvement of daily operations;
  • Develop and propose capital expenditures to support improvements;
  • Manage performance indicators, such as melt rate and improvement of management indicators;
  • Support the maintenance sector during planned shutdowns;
  • Validate maintenance work priorities and keep work orders up to date;
  • Act as technical support for the engineering sector;
  • C coach and influence employees based on the company's mission and values.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's degree/graduate diploma in mechanical engineering;
  • Membership in the Order of Engineers;
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience;
  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement concepts;
  • Proficiency in Autocad or other design software;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute project plans that achieved identified objectives;
  • Planning and project management skills;
  • Analysis and diagnostic capacity;
  • Ability to define a strategy including its implementation;
  • Good conflict management and informed decision making;
  • Results-oriented and detail-oriented individual;
  • Ability to manage change and multiple tasks.
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and employee share purchase plan.
