Event Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at the University of Ottawa. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing various events that engage alumni, raise awareness in the community, and foster ties between strategic partners and the academic community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and design events that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders
  • Manage event logistics, including reservations, rentals, registration, and invitations
  • Supervise the running of events and ensure that they are executed to a high standard
  • Manage budgets and stay within budget limits
  • Participate in marketing plans to maximize stakeholder awareness and participation
Requirements:
  • College diploma in marketing, event management, fundraising, or communications
  • Minimum five years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven ability to formulate creative ideas and analyze details to create a successful event
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
