Job Description

">

The Commis Chef reports directly to the Sous Chef and Head Chef. This role involves cooking and preparing a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, stocks, breads, and other food items using various equipment and techniques according to kitchen protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Prepare meals in a timely manner in accordance with hotel kitchen recipes and assembly manuals.">
  3. Create and follow a daily prep sheet to indicate stock levels and required quantities.">
  4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times, adhering to checklists, logs, and cleaning schedules during and after shifts.">
  5. Ensure proper care and maintenance of all food service equipment, identifying needs for food preparation and service.">
  6. Adhere to high hygiene standards by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen, following food safety guidelines.">
  7. Maintain a positive attitude promoting teamwork within the hotel.">
  8. Perform other duties as assigned and directed by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.">

  • Level 1 Food Safe certification">
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen">
