Senior Communications Professional

We are seeking a skilled Senior Manager, Media Relations to join our Corporate team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our External Communications team, you will be responsible for managing company-wide media relations and developing strategic plans to drive positive earned media coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and develop effective communication strategies to secure media coverage.
- Develop and implement media relations plans to promote Rogers' brand and services.
- Provide strategic counsel to business leaders on media relations and issues management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop messaging and key messages for media relations.
- Monitor media coverage and provide regular reports to senior leaders.
Requirements:
- 7+ years' experience in corporate communications, media relations, or a related field.
- Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and ability to develop effective media relations strategies.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of success in media relations and communications.
