Job Title: Medical Clinic Assistant

WELL Health Technologies Corp is seeking a highly skilled Medical Clinic Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Clinic Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient care through the clinic, exam room, and lab
  • Take and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight
  • Perform venipuncture under the supervision of a physician
  • Interview patients to complete intake forms and other documents
  • Assist patients in completing medical history forms
  • Under the supervision of a physician, perform simple wound management
  • Prepare exam rooms, select, and maintain medical supplies and equipment
  • Clean and sterilize exam rooms, materials, and instruments
  • Check inventory and assist with ordering medical supplies and materials
  • Greet and register patients
  • Schedule appointments
  • Document patient information in the electronic medical record
  • Assist with billing and coding
  • Complete insurance and other claim forms
  • Assist with call backs, referrals, scanning, faxing, paper clipping, and filing
  • Assist manager, nursing, and reception staff as required
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations
  • Attend and contribute to clinic meetings and training sessions

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and a Medical Clinic Assistant and/or OSMT Lab Tech certification from an accredited school
  • Phlebotomy certification required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and office equipment
