Job Overview

As a Manager, Project Controls, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic and tactical direction to all Project Control resources assigned to the execution scopes of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction to all Project Control resources assigned to the execution scopes of the projects including but not limited to planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost/schedule forecasting, change management and reporting.
  • Steward project execution according to agreed schedule with proper monitoring of weekly progress and productivity reporting internally and externally.
  • Steward and lead cost performance according to the approved budgets and incorporating changes and trends into cost forecast eliminating cost over expenditure and/or surprises.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or similar field Project Management, Project Controls Certification or similar is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the industrial construction industry (5-10 years in supervisory and management roles), with the primary focus on project controls, planning, scheduling, cost control, change management, risk management and reporting.
  • Hands on field experience in the field of project controls, construction management in the energy, industrial construction or major infrastructure construction industries.
Preferred Skills:
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada's 6 Core Values.
  • Advanced skills with computer applications, including Microsoft Office/Office 365 suite is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software is required.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
