Electrical Heat Transfer Specialist

Partner Staffing is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the Oil & Gas sector, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industries. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Heat Transfer Engineer for a 6-8 month contract with a major oil company based in Calgary.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering techniques, design of engineered systems, and engineering calculations. They will also have experience with standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
The successful candidate will perform engineering and design duties associated with project scope of work, liaise with other disciplines and project management, and provide construction support as required.
Key requirements include:
- Thorough knowledge of electrical engineering techniques and design of engineered systems
- Understanding of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating
- Experience with electrical single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Proficiency in EHT design and all other electrical deliverables
- Ability to expedite issues in a large multi-discipline team towards resolution
Preferred qualifications include:
- Graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered and in good standing with APEGA
- 5+ years' experience in an electrical engineering role, working in oil sands facilities with hands-on electrical engineering design and construction
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
