Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to oversee the daily operations of our food service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, managing staff, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source and procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and direct the activities of food service staff, ensuring that tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Accurately estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Ensure Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food and service meet the highest standards.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns to maintain a positive reputation.
  • Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Accurately record and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on food service operations, sales, and other relevant metrics.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with a physically demanding work environment.

Experience:

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role is required.
