Senior Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Dam Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, Canada. As a Senior Civil Engineer at Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB), you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to our company's continued success.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and collaborating with diverse teams of discipline engineers, designers, and drafters from conceptual design through preliminary and final design and construction support. You will also provide progress reports to Clients and senior management at regular intervals, act as a technical resource within the project team(s), and lead dam safety reviews.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in hydrotechnical or civil engineering.
  • A minimum of 12 years' broad-based experience in civil engineering, specifically related to dams, from feasibility to detailed design.
  • Strong technical knowledge and design capabilities in civil engineering.
  • Experience performing dam safety reviews and inspections.
  • Business development experience, including writing and leading proposals.
  • Proven record of project management and client management.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills in English.

Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 to $170,000 per year, based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
