Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at JDI IT. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing IT architecture for our Retail division, leveraging your technical expertise to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop strategic solutions.
  • Design and implement IT architecture that aligns with enterprise standards and guidelines.
  • Lead the development of technical roadmaps and project plans to ensure successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and develop software solutions.
  • Estimate costs and prepare business cases for IT solutions.
  • Work with project managers and business analysts to develop project schedules and resource plans.
  • Provide current, transition, and future state artifacts for designed solutions.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a development or technical lead role.
  • Experience providing technical direction to less experienced team members.
  • Experience working in enterprise architecture/solution design in a diverse IT environment.
  • Experience creating design documents for solutions.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies and Cloud.
  • Good understanding of architecting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of web application architecture, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.

  • Microsoft Certified & Azure Solutions Architect.
  • TOGAF – The Open Group certified.
