Spruce Meadows Jump Crew Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our Jump Crew team at Spruce Meadows. As a Jump Crew Attendant, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the outdoor competition rings and adjacent warm-up rings for each tournament day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and maintenance of competition rings and warm-up rings
  • Measure and ensure obstacles meet Equestrian Canada and FEI standards
  • Assist with sports timing equipment setup
  • Equine ambulance drill and emergency animal removal
  • Jump repair and general maintenance
  • Divot and turf repair, irrigation requirements
  • Basic maintenance and upkeep of equipment and tools

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Full availability during contract dates
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Comfortability around horses
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Available to work weekends, evenings, late nights, early morning, on call
  • Comfortable with physically demanding job
  • Organizational proficiency
  • Basic English for communication of job duties
