About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at Coast Nisku Inn & Conference Centre. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations, ensuring that they are aligned with the hotel's goals and objectives.

Recruit and Hire Staff

Recruit and hire staff to fill vacant positions, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and qualifications to perform their duties.

Supervise Staff

Supervise and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.

Perform Front Desk Duties

Perform front desk duties, including checking in and out guests, handling guest complaints and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Prepare Budgets and Monitor Revenues and Expenses

Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, ensuring that the hotel is operating within budget and that any variances are addressed promptly.

Prepare Marketing Plans

Develop and implement marketing plans to attract new guests and increase revenue.

Address Customer Complaints or Concerns

Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that guests are satisfied with their stay.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that they are fair and reasonable and that they meet the needs of the hotel.

Requirements
  • Education

College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as hospitality or business administration.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a hotel management role.

Computer and Technology Knowledge

Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
