Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a talented Corporate Finance Associate to join our team in Winnipeg. As a key member of our Deal Advisory Services group, you will work on a wide range of transactions, from financial analysis and valuation to deal initiation and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial and valuation analyses, including the development of complex financial models, to support client transactions.
  • Assist in identifying and researching potential acquisition targets, purchasers, and investors.
  • Help lead the preparation and distribution of confidential information memorandums and other key documents.
  • Communicate directly with clients, other advisors, and counterparties to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Assist with proactive business development and deal initiation activities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Provide analytical and market research information to support client decisions.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of the CPA examination process or intention to complete.
  • Interest in developing expertise related to valuation concepts and techniques, with enrollment in the CBV program expected (if not already complete).
  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn new applications.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, writing, and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply new knowledge in the preparation of creative and bespoke client deliverables.
  • Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, committed, self-starter, and ability to prioritize work and cope with changing priorities while working independently and with a team.
