Job Summary

The College of New Caledonia is seeking a part-time instructor to teach in the Early Childhood Care and Learning program. The medium of instruction will be online.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality instructional content to adult learners.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and program materials.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements
  • A Master's degree in a related field is preferred; a minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Services with additional qualifications and experience would also be considered.
  • Eligibility for licensing as an Early Childhood Educator in BC is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an early childhood setting is required, with experience in an inclusive childhood setting.
  • Recent experience teaching adults is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
  • A highly developed knowledge of community resources would be considered an asset.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary and innovative teaching methodologies is desired.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $73,879 - $87,659, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
