General Labourer/Packer

We are seeking a skilled General Labourer/Packer to join our team at Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd. in Breslau, ON.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks in a fast-paced production environment, including packaging, labeling, and palletizing products. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and have basic English communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform packaging, labeling, and palletizing tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical and repetitive job duties for long periods
- Work under pressure to meet production deadlines and maintain a safe working environment
- Assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers as needed
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the plant and warehouse manually or with powered equipment
- 1 month to less than 7 months experience in a labour-related field
- Experience in food processing is an asset
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical and repetitive job duties for long periods
- Commitment to safety and quality practices
The working environment is physically demanding, fast-paced, and may involve handling heavy loads, working in a refrigerated area, and exposure to odours. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
What We Offer- Starting wage of $20.70/hr - $23.25/hr
- 1 dollar raise after 6 months of service to $21.74/hr
- Afternoon Shift Premium ($1.25/hr)
- Weekly pay by direct deposit
- Stable full-time hours; no rotating shifts
