Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Labourer to join our team at Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in a fast-paced meat processing and packing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of food safety and handling skills to ensure the quality of our products.
  • Material Transportation: Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility.
  • Machinery Operation: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed flattened boxes into forming machines, and remove filled containers from conveyors.
  • Packaging and Quality Control: Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, check products and packaging for basic quality defects, and assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas, sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products, and perform general labouring duties.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Assist machine operators or assemblers in the manufacturing process, and work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a hot, cold, and refrigerated environment, with exposure to odours.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
