Job Summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a highly skilled Wind Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at our Saskatchewan Wind Turbine site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines, including electrical systems and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure top performance on our wind farms.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in the development of new field procedures and best practices.
  • Work safely and effectively in a team environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, including PLC programming and converters.
  • Strong initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal success.
  • Minimum High school diploma required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to organize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientation.
  • Good computer skills, competent in the use of Microsoft platforms like Outlook and Excel.
