About the Role

Vista Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Counsel to join our team as a business and legal partner to our executive team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's legal framework and ensuring compliance with various laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Board Reporting: Provide meaningful information to management to enable them to make informed business decisions, track progress, and measure performance.
  • Legal Framework: Develop and maintain the company's legal framework, applying a team-oriented and cohesive approach with all stakeholders, balancing business risks with contractual information.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and other third parties, including rental contracts, leases, NDA's, and M&A documents.
  • Transaction Support: Support the company in any transaction-related activity, including acquisition of portfolio accounts, new business lines, and larger-scale acquisition activity.
  • Senior Management Team: Function as a legal partner to the executive team, supporting operations, business development, sales, and corporate functions.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: JD/LLB, member in good standing of the Ontario Law Society, and ability to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with experience within a variety of industries and companies.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex issues, diagnose multi-dimensional problems, and devise appropriate recommendations.
